The own four walls = Quartier|Wohnen

Now "Quartier|Wohnen" is not easy to translate into English because it is a concept which is unique. We could roughly descibe it as "Living-in-the-quarter". Here´s what it means in detail:

  • an own home
  • indepence
  • assistance
  • competent support
  • contacts to other people
  • living in the middle of society

With the Quartier|Wohnen we offer you:

  • support in searching for an apartment
  • pedagogic support in all areas of life
  • stand-by duty during the night
  • crisis intervention
  • conjoint meals and programmes
  • support for relatives
  • our neighbourhood centre NAHBEI

The Quartier|Wohnen is our living-offer for people with disabilities from the age of 19 years onwards. You will be supported in your own appartment. The central office for the Quartier|Wohnen is a neighbourhood centre.

That is called NAHBEI. 

Here the residents of the quarter around Findorffstraße have a drop-in centre für neighboourhood activities, help and offers.

Furthermore the Martinsclub has its offices of the Nursing Service m|c and the inklusive offer of the support-concept Quartier|Wohnen in these rooms.

Within the area of 5 minutes afoot from the NAHBEI we offer assisted living for people with disabilities.

In the NABEI there is a big function room which hosts events of the m|c on a regular basis as well as those initiated by the neighbours around themselves. They can rent the room for their activities like birthday- or wedding celebrations or else. The room is equipted with a large kitchenette.

There is also a barrier-free appartment in the NAHBEI in which, however, nobody lives constantly. It can be rent on a short-term basis (for days or weeks). At demand we offer support and nursing there, too.

In the NAHBEI we give counsel about nursing and support benefits, but also provide offers of a different kind. You may ask for shopping-helpers, babysitters or facility manager services.

The NAHBEI is open for anyone in the district and elsewhere. Speak to us and help improving the quality of life in Findorff even more!

Due to the constant presence of the employees in the NAHBEI and the on-call-duty during the night, people with higher necessity can be supported in the Quartier|Wohnen, too.
